Sounds like you probably only photographed (and stitched) a single row of images level with the the horizon, but with your particular camera/lens you needed additional rows of images to get the proper full 360x180 degree image required for G4. How do you get this? You must take more component images to include in your panorama stitch. The ratio of width to height in stitched panorama image should be exactly 2:1 (a spherical or equirectangular panorama image).
